After Gus proposed to Patti they both knew their love was to be cemented in matrimony at the Cuban-American Club. Their pasts wouldn’t be void of hardship. Sadly, Patti’s late husband passed away after a battle with cancer and Gus’ previous marriage dwindled. Once two broken hearts, now mended by their once common ground.
The Wedding Day – Cuban-American Club
Saturday, October 15, 2016 a day that will mark the rest of their lives. Gus was greeted by Patti alongside her two sons who escorted her down the aisle. Patti was also escorted down the aisle in spirit by her father as he passed away just a few short months prior to the wedding. One small, but significant, wedding detail was that of her bouquet. Attached to it was a pendant with a photograph of her father on it. Clearly, much fun was had by all at this family affair as friends and family witnessed and celebrated their nuptials.
Weddings such as these really hold deeper meaning for us. Teresa has grown alongside Gus’ matriarch and patriarch aunts and uncles since she was born. It seems that Teresa’s calling was to be a photographer and family historian from a young age. As it would happen, she has pictures of Gus’ mom holding her as a baby.
Congratulations to the newly weds! Peace, love, and blessings be upon you for all the days of your lives together.
